Product Description
Finpro PA is a clear two-component high-build polyaspartic coating that is fast curing, non-yellowing and UV resistant.
A durable, seamless, chemical resistant finish is achieved with fast installation, reduced recoat and return to service times.
Benefits:
- 85% solids high build with high gloss
- Fast cure 2.5-3hrs recoat time at 25 degree
- Excellent topcoat to epoxy coatings including flake flooring systems
- Excellent exterior durability and maximised weatherability
- Fast return to service (3hr foot traffic, 24hr vehicle traffic)
Application Instructions:
Surface Preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean and dry to ensure optimal adhesion between floor coating and substrate. Remove surface laitance, contaminants, existing coatings and curing compounds via light grit-blasting or grinding to ensure suitable surface profile to CSP 2 has been achieved.
Prior to application the surface must be free of dust and other debris. Priming is generally not required over a mechanically prepared surface.
If applied to previously cured coatings such as epoxy, lightly abrade the existing coating to create a mechanical key. Prior to application the surface must be free of dust and other debris. Repair imperfections such as holes and cracks where necessary.
Mixing
Using an electrical low speed (400rpm) mechanical mixer, premix Part A until homogenous.
Add the Part B to Part A and mechanically mix for 2 minutes, scrape down sides of vessel so no unmixed material remains and stir for further 2 minutes.
Leave to stand for 2-5 minutes before application for improved curing times. Mix only the required amount that is needed based on the pot life of the product. To extend pot life place mixed product in smaller buckets or trays.
The addition of up to 5% of Finseal 2K Thinners may assist in extending working times and thinning the coating when additional concrete penetration may be required.
To extend pot life place mixed product in smaller buckets or trays.
Sealer Application
Finpro PA can be applied by roller or squeegee within 20 minutes of mixing, weather dependent.
Roller/Squeegee
This method is compatible with Finpro PA, allowing application of even coats of mixed material to the prepared surface. For flat smooth finishes a short nap roller suited to gloss applications should be used. Spray application recommended for experienced professional applicators only.
For Flake Flooring System: Apply a solid colour base coat of Finpro EP HS with a short nap roller at around 5m2 per litre. Apply selected pre blended vinyl flakes by broadcasting..
Allow to harden and lightly scrape the surface. Apply 2 coats of Finpro PA.
Floor is trafficable by foot after 3 hours and vehicles after 72 hours.
Slip Resistant Finishes
Slip resistance may also be increased via non-broadcast method by adding 60 or 80# Alumina Oxide to the final coat at up to 4% by volume or can be broadcast into wet coating and backrolled (professional use only).
