High build thixotropic synthetic fibre reinforced cement-based rheoplastic and non-segregating mortar 

Hydroc Cempatch is a high build thixotropic synthetic fibre reinforced cement-based rheoplastic and non-segregating mortar of high strength designed to protect embedded steel reinforcement and repair damaged or spalling vertical, overhead and horizontal concrete surfaces.

Application Instructions:

Surface Preparation
Remove any weak, spalling or unconsolidated concrete and thoroughly clean surface. Remove any existing coatings from the concrete surface. If steel reinforcement is exposed, remove any rusting on the steel surface. Acid etch, pressure wash then hose to fully impregnate with water and allow drying to a wet dull lustre and puddle free.

Application Method

Priming 
The clean damp substrate must be primed with a slurry brush coat of Hydroc Cempatch (2 parts powder to 1-part water).

Mixing
Use a low sheer mechanical mixer to ensure proper mixing.
Normal water requirement is 3.0 to 3.4 L per 20 kg dependant on required viscosity.
Place 3 litres of water in a clean mixer bucket. While stirring gradually add Hydroc Cempatch and mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes.
If necessary, add additional water, until a mix of the desired workability is obtained. Mix for a further minimum 1 minute. Use within 30 minutes.

Application
Apply Hydroc Cempatch by trowel utilising standard mortar techniques.

Curing Time
Cure at normal ambient conditions. Keep damp for at least 5 days or apply curing compound such as Aardcure WBS. Provide suitable protection against extreme weather conditions (sun, wind, frost) while setting. The freshly treated surface should be protected from rain for a minimum period of 24 hours.
